Nonprofit organizations in Westchester and Putnam counties relieve suffering, create opportunity, offer hope and inspire all of us to do more. Small businesses create jobs, provide essential services and give back to the community. It’s my privilege to play a small part in your important work.

My job is to help business owners and nonprofit leaders increase visibility and connect with stakeholders. It’s fun, it’s important, and I love it.

Prior to founding In Better Words in 2012, I served as the Director of Communications for the Business Council of Westchester for 6.5 years. I marketed the organization and managed communications with its 1,000+ members, worked with small groups of business owners and human resources professionals to develop best practices, and ran events.

It was at the Business Council I learned so much about business and marketing, and I’m fortunate to have so many positive business relationships and friendships from my time there. Make sure you join!

In addition to my work with clients, I like to speak to groups of professionals, through chambers and trade organizations, about marketing and messaging. For seven years, I was an adjunct instructor at the College of Westchester in White Plains, where I taught business, marketing, professional communications, event planning and other courses.

When not working, I rescue animals, take pictures, teach my nieces bad words, travel when I can, and laugh at my husband as he’s consistently outsmarted by the mouse who lives in our basement. If he reads this, he’ll find out I’m feeding that mouse…
